ABOUT DELIPAC

The product does not involve the application of a conventional aqueous-based coating, or a coating applied by the conventional dispersion method (such as PE or PLA coatings). Instead, it utilises a fibrous base enhanced with non-synthetic, organic compounds (each with a clear CAS registry identification). This integrated impregnation barrier technology makes it a non-composite material.
Here's the magic: Delipac incorporates plant and natural starch extracts, achieving a remarkable feat. It's not only plastic-free but also undergoes 100% aerobic quantitative disintegration at room temperature (28°C). Additionally, independent testing confirms a 98% fibre recovery rate through regular paper waste processing. This translates to seamless recycling as it integrates effortlessly with existing paper and cardboard recycling streams, eliminating the need for separate sorting or specialised facilities. It also aligns perfectly with the European PPWR packaging waste recycling regulations.
Its eco-friendly credentials extend beyond its certified plastic-free nature. By eliminating aqueous coatings and polymers, it avoids the presence of fluorocarbons (PFAS), notorious environmental contaminants. ISO certification confirms the complete absence of these harmful substances in our paperboard.
